Description: In this session, co-teaching partners will learn six co-teaching models as well as several effective co-teaching practices to employ in the classroom. You will leave this session with new understanding to improve the effectiveness of your co-teaching environment.

  1. New York State Education Department’s State Board for Social Work  (Approval #SW-0631)
  2. Live attendance or self-study option for 2 continuing education credit hours.

Presenter: Mahri Wrightington, Ph.D.
Dr. Mahri Wrightington is the founder and CEO of PD Monster. She earned an undergraduate degree in psychology at Bryn Mawr College and a doctorate in school psychology at the University of Connecticut. She holds current school certifications in school psychology and school administration. Having worked as a school psychologist, school administrator, and education consultant for the past 2 decades, Dr. Wrightington has a wealth of knowledge to share with participants. Dr. Wrightington is passionate about providing professional development that will have an immediate impact on the practices of the participants.

Presenter: Erica Cole-Harms, Ph.D.
Dr. Erica Cole-Harms earned her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience at Smith College, a Master’s in Science Education from Simmons College, and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Simmons University. Throughout her career as a science educator and school administrator, Dr. Cole-Harms has spent countless hours dedicated to improving her own co-teaching practices as well as supporting others in setting up successful co-teaching environments. Dr. Cole-Harms is also a trained restorative practitioner and is passionate about helping educators to incorporate restorative practices into the classroom.
