Our Philosophy
We believe that adult beliefs, attitudes, and actions are what have the greatest impact on student outcomes. We believe that every small change in adult practice leads to big improvements in school experiences for students.
Our Mission
At PD Monster, our mission is to provide practical training & coaching that educators can use immediately to improve their practices. Our goal is to help schools provide meaningful educational experiences for all students by enhancing the capacity of staff to support students, solve problems, and work as effective team members.
Our Services
We offer professional development in a variety of formats for administrators, teachers, school-based clinicians, and support staff. In-district training, coaching, and systems development services are available virtually or in-person (depending on availability in your location). We also offer webinars and online courses throughout each school year on a wide variety of topics. See tabs above for more information.
Accreditations
PD Monster is certified by multiple professional agencies, such as NASW, NASP, and the BACB to offer continuing education credits to education professionals. Each webinar or online course specifically details the accreditations for each session. Please read carefully before you register.
Our Roots
PD Monster was founded by Dr. Mahri Wrightington. Dr. Wrightington earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Bryn Mawr College, and earned a doctorate in School Psychology from the University of Connecticut. Over the past 2 decades, she has worked in the field of education as a school psychologist, school administrator, and education consultant. Dr. Wrightington is a dynamic presenter who engages her audience, ensuring that participants take away practical tools and strategies they can implement immediately.
