Description: With approximately 1 in 36 children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), it’s essential that educators are equipped with the tools to effectively support this diverse population. In this session, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of the unique learning, behavioral, social-emotional, and life-skills needs of students with ASD. You’ll also explore a range of practical, trauma-informed strategies designed to foster connection, engagement, and meaningful progress in the classroom.

Ms. Darin is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and an autism expert. Having worked for many years in public schools, private schools, and service agencies, she has a wealth of autism specific knowledge and experiences to share with participants. Ms. Darin is passionate about helping educators to understand the whole child and understand the importance of using research-based strategies and a trauma-informed approach when working with students on the autism spectrum.
