Description: In this session, you will learn how to design supports and structures for an effective in-district alternative learning program. We will start with foundational strategies such as defining your student population, designing an effective physical learning environment, and creating a strong program philosophy. We will then move on to more in-depth topics such as developing consistent entry and exit protocols, designing a feasible instructional model, and implementing effective data collection systems. You will leave this training armed with a roadmap for designing a new program or improving existing programs to support students through innovative, structured, and supportive approaches.
