Description: In this session, you will enhance your understanding of how trauma impacts the brain and body in both children and adults. We will discuss self-management and self-care, as these are essential components of being trauma-informed. Additionally, we will learn some key strategies to use with students who have experienced trauma. You will leave the session with new understandings and a packed toolkit of strategies.

Dr. Mahri Wrightington is the founder and CEO of PD Monster. She earned an undergraduate degree in psychology at Bryn Mawr College and a doctorate in school psychology at the University of Connecticut. She holds current school certifications in school psychology and school administration.
